I am a mediator, arbitrator, discovery referee and special master practicing throughout Northern California, utilizing more than 20 years experience in the law business.  I began providing services as a neutral 10 years ago.  In addition to my work as a neutral, I serve on several different boards and sections, providing input on policy decisions and preparing and presenting seminars on the various aspects and issues that arise in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Working with parties who are in dispute or litigation and who are unable to craft a reasonable resolution on their own is challenging and rewarding.  I use my experience to assist parties in making sure that they have exchanged the appropriate information, evaluating the risks and rewards of going to trial versus negotiating a settlement that they can accept.  Knowing when to shift from facilitative to evaluative and/or directive mediation methods is the strength that I provide the parties.
